Moonlight

This is the hot new series that I am currently drooling bout.

Seriously drooling. Check out the cast. HOT.

It's about a 80+ year old vampire, Mick St John( Alex O' Loughlin) who is also a private investigator. He was turned into a vampire on his wedding night by his wife, which he eventually killed (or should i say supposedly killed, you'll know why after you've watched it) to save a little girl from the clutches of his wife.

Fast forward to the present. Beth Turner ( Sophia Myles )- the little girl he saved-is now a grown woman who is a reporter for Buzzwire. They met on a case and has conveniently bumped into each other even since. Since they started solving cases together their friendship eventually becomes something more. Mick also trusts Beth enough to reveal his true self to her. The special relationship between Mick and Beth starts to form a drift between Beth and her long-term boyfriend,Josh who is a district attorney. Well, Josh was conveniently -word removed- at the end of season 1.

Now introducing Josef Kostan ( Jason Dohring) who is a 400+ year old vampire ( For your information, vamps do not aged. They look the age they were when they were turned into a vamp) and also Mick's mentor and friend. He is a wealthy businessman who always has a thing or two to say about Mick's relationship with Beth. Note that no matter how cool he always looks he conveniently manages to stay out of the action, thanks to Mick. So far, I've haven't seen him kick ass =P. But anyway, his sense of humour makes up for his lack of action.

Last but not least, there's Coraline/ Morgan ( Shannyn Sossamon), which ever you prefer. She's Mick's ex-wife and sire. And which Mick supposedly killed. Well, it appears not as she surfaces as Morgan, a photographer working alongside Beth. Morgan is a splitting image of Coraline, acts and speaks like her. But the catch is she ain't a vampire. Well, Beth eventually digs up information that Morgan is Coraline. But to how she sort of became human. I won't say. Go watch it yourself.

Superb cast, action-packed, vampires, mystery, romance and a great soundtrack. What more can you ask for?
This series gets two thumbs up from me.
Go watch it.
I'm hooked.
P/s I WANT SEASON 2!!!!
