Escaped from Shah Alam

Yup, am at my cousin's place for a few days to escape the depressing land of depression. =P Shah Alam has been pretty deserted the past few days because of Raya. The shops are mostly closed and well I guess the residents also mostly dah balik kampung. Here? Its a different story. According to my cousin, Serdang ( the place where I'm currently staying) used to be a Hakka village. So, well you know. Chinese. Haha, its pretty delightful to see chinese coffee shops around. And seeing Chinese FOODD... gosh glorious chinese food, if you get my drift. =) Weelllll, had a swelll birthday on Sunday. Thanks guys for all the birthday wishes/presents/sms/gifts all the way from Kuching ( thanks a million Leon!) , am so so touched and honoured to have great great wonderfull undescribably superb friends like you all. And oh oh, my bro and sis actually made me a bear and are sending it over here all the way from Singapore!!! How cool can that be. So So So So excited to receive it! hahaha. Saw the picture of the bear and its adorable! Pink somemore with surgeon's outfit( ah, should be my bro's idea). thankies so much!

Oh oh, about the birthday! Celebrated it at Ikano/ The Curve that area. Had pancakes for lunch, gosh, you should see the amazing varieties of pancakes at Paddington House of Pancakes. And I thought that pancakes were the normal flour kinda you eat with honey and syrup. My perception of pancakes have changed ever since I ate there. And And And for tea/snack whatever you wanna name it ( yea, I know we have humongous appetites, its a result of staying in KL) we had curry puffs/hotdogs/meatballs/ choc balls at Ikea. The meatballs there are HEAVEN, simply HEAVEN, and the choc balls?? ah nothing tastes better. The curry puffs are one of a kind too. Highly recommend you all to eat at Ikea. Cheap and simply delicious. LOL. =) oh and dinner?? HAHAHA can laugh till don't want laugh. Went to Carl's Jr, the guys ordered 3 burgers mana tau come another 3 EXTRA burgers with fries and salad some more. How good can this get? Carl's Jr burger lagi, don't play play. All in all it was a wonderful day, was pretty reluctant to leave after that. Oh well..

Its much nicer being at my cousin's place. Much more convenient. Love the internet speed here. Good for blogging. Sadly, didn't think of bringing my hp cable here. If not this post could have been filled with pictures.of. FOOD. Mwahaha.. oh and cuzzy brought me to Ikea and 1U again yesterday. The wonders of having a car. It makes travelling about so much more easier. And oh yea, really love shopping at Ikea. >.< confession there. =) Am so gonna bring Amy here next time. Poor her cramming for her SATs. Wish her luck yea. =)

I can survive...hopefully

7 more weeks. to home. Ah, why does time seems to be crawling??? It's been hell here. The environment sucks so much that I don't think its conducive for learning. =( Sometimes I get really stress out here. No, my studies are not that hard, it's the people. Everywhere I go I'll see people studying till I get so sick of doing so. It amazes me how amazingly hardworking people here can be. I can fall asleep to the sound of someone studying and rise in the morning to see the exact same person at the exact same place doing the exact same thing. Ah, and my sanity. I'm afraid I'm losing it. Blame the environment. My mind keeps seeming to bug me to do things that I'm not required to do. And if I don't do so I'll be left with a guilty feeling. Talk about abnegation. I've been practising it voluntarily. =/ On a lighter tone, after tomorrow I'll be having raya hols! for a week! =) Sadly, I'm unable to spend it at home =(. Oh well. At least its hols. By the way, the computer lab in my hostel decided to take it's Raya hols too. Starting from today till 6 Oct. So much for having more computer time during hols. =S. How convenient.

Anyway, just celebrated my birthday today with a couple of my friends. Had a nice multi-racial birthday party. First ever I guess. =) And it was really fun. Had tons of pizza courtesy of my parents. Thanks Mum. Thanks Dad. I miss them so much =(. And this is also the first year ever that I'm celebrating my birthday far far from home. Missed that homey feeling and my mum's home made stuff. Nothing beats my mum's cooking and my bro's bbq-ing. =) Fascinating how the human mind only starts to really appreciate all the simple little things in life when its hard to get. Lesson of the day: appreciate everything that happens no matter what. LOL.

I think I had too much pizza. Its 0039 and I'm still here blogging hyper-actively. Having classes and a test tomorrow. Oh well. Lets countdown again. =)

3 days till I turn 18 * hint hint*

1 week of Raya hols

3 weeks of mad-dashing to finish our 1st sem syllabus

2 weeks of study leave

1 week of finals

and then...

sigh... HOME =)

i love i love.

praying hard that I'll survive.

By the way, many thanks to my family for the wonderful birthday.

And my ever so caring housemates. Ah, I think their personal goal in life is to get me to eat unhealthily. =P LOL kidding.

And my ever so ever so loving friends. I heart you all.

Bloated chocoholic gotta get tons of water into her system and try to sleep.

mwah mwah

Four floors up

Yup, am blogging from four floors up for the very first time. Am typing furiously on my housemate's laptop which she kindly lent me to update my blog/keep in touch with the internet world/ do something other than studying >.<. Ah, sorry for the lack of updates. Haven't been quite in the mood for blogging and was too lazy to go hunt around for a computer to do so. Plus was feeling really crappy the previous weeks, don't ask me why, mood swings I guess. LOL.

Oh and guess what, we had a moment (a VERY slight moment ) of joy when we were informed that we were allowed to wear short sleeves around our hostel and college. For a day. And the new dress code was abolished today. Because someone didn't approve it. >.<

Oh, and I've been having tests practically every week>.< So much to adding to my already very crappy mood. Anyway, am counting down the weeks till i can get home! HAHAHA 9 more weeks baby! and i'll be back home. Away from this crappy place. *grins* That's the thing that keeps me going. Oh well.

2 more weeks to Raya hols. 2 more weeks to my birthday and 9 more weeks till I get home. =) Am in the mood to go wandering round KL this weekend. =)

For now, tata. =) will blog again when I get the mood to. Take care guys. =)

3 weeks and counting

Am feeling very bored today. Sorry for the lack of updates. Amy has just abandoned me by going to midvalley =(. She's going to do intellectual stuff at Midvalley and she said I should not follow 'cos I'm not intellectual enough ( kidding, she didn't say that). =( I really want to do something spontaneous like hopping on a Rapid Kl bus and going somewhere. Sigh, like home?? =( Few more weeks and I'll be back. Hopefully. Oh ya, sorry that I am unable to reply you guys at the chatbox. Am using the computer at the computer lab. The connection sucks. Wait till I go to cyber next week and I'll reply you guys. And play webcam with you all. =) Am looking forward to it. =) Good luck to all Thomians that are having their exam this week. I miss you all ( you know who lar. ) Besides I have just made a list of food I really want to eat when I get back. Sigh...... Hommmmeeeeeeeeeee....... =( seems so far away. I want a proper meal, decent food, fun friends, being able to talk crap, sleep well, transportation ( yes, cars or just anything with an engine and wheels so I don't have to walk) and happiness.

Oh, by the way I am so sick of stairs and walking. Living on the 4th floor really sucks. Today the freaking computer lab was supposed to be opened by noon but after I climbed down 4 flights of stairs and walked there ( at one something) it was shut. =( How can how can. Luckily my 2nd attempt at using the computer at 3pm was successful. But..... I left my freaking thumb drive (which has the information I need to print out for my ethics project) in my locker in my freaking room which is 4 floors up. =( Huhuhu... my fate with stairs. And, and if that's not enough, everyday I have to walk for about 7 minutes to my class( from the bus) and climb 3 flights of stairs. Stairs oh, stairs, have mercy on me. =(

By the way, stuff that I really want to eat right now are my rice( yes my brown brown rice), mum's bread, durian (ah, ummm), Laksa ( OMC, sarawak laksa where art thou?) , kolo mee ( sigh~), kueh tiau, popiah, ais kacang, seafood(wuuuuu~), tauhu ( yum, yum), mum's cooking....and the list goes on and on.

Oh, and I've gotten really attached to Amy, my handphone (the only connection to Kuching), my bracelet( yes thank you it reminds me of home, sniff), my photo album (ah, the memories), and the Internet. Waaaaaa.....3 weeks and I'm still homesick. How can how can???!!!

Anddd * drumroll* I'll be back for a week on the 15th August, Kuching Fest here I come! =) You guys back in Kuching, wait for me! Can't wait can't wait!!!!!!! *restrains self* Noah and Pin Wei, be prepared for someone to come hopping into your car! ( sigh, carsss * dreamy eyes*)

ok, guess that's all for now, am gonna try to prevent myself from hopping on the Rapid Kl bus, or going to the KTM station, or getting on a plane.. HAHAHA........

Huhuhu, my apartment is so damn eerie now. Its empty =( I wanna be able to go home like all my housemates. =( My West Malaysian classmates told me they can't imagine how its like not being able to go home during the weekends. *sniff*

Title? What title?!!

Two weeks in the shittiest place ever ( quoting Amy who quotes her lecturer) and I've perfected the art of sleeping while standing up in a moving KTM/bus/bus stop/ KTM station/ anywhere you can think of. I've spent the last two days trampling around KL in order to preserve thy sanity. Yes, my sanity is at stake. After a whole week of having class in the -word blocked- place ever, my sanity is at stake, its been pushed to the very edge of depression *exaggeration present*. Worry not, I shall never fall into the clutches of depression because I have Amy.

So anyway, classes suck. I miss 5s2 and L6s2 so much till I have the tendency to compare every single thing in class to 5s2 and L6s2. 5s2 have the best classmates ever and L6s2 have the best teachers, period. Am trying to rid myself of this comparing habit. First few days in class and I can be described as a pure-bred introvert. I talk not, I hear not, I smile NOT. Amy can verify that for you. Ah, her shoulders should be soaked wet by tears, don't ask whose. Come Friday and I'll metamorph into a happy bunny.

Talking about Friday, we took the KTM down two stations and squeezed ourselves into a creaky, packed bus to meet up with Lydia at Sunway Pyramid. My eyes were greatly refreshed by the change of environment. Being entertainment deprived for a week really does something to your state of mind. We ended up having J.CO donuts for lunch ( I had to make a difficult decision between having pancakes and donuts, sigh this is the after effects of being deprived of leisure and good food) . Later in the afternoon, Sarah and Jon magcally appeared after having told me that they were "busy" *winks* for that day. It was so comforting to hear Sarah talk that day, really made me feel whole lots better. =) Thanks sis. Ahah, for dinner we actually had * cough* ( I should not mention it here) to satisfy Yik Chen's insatiable desire for *coughs*. Really enjoyed eating *coughs*. =P We were dead tired by the time we got home. Amy even has photos of Chen sleeping while standing up as proof. =D

Since we are obssessed with getting out of This Place, we headed of to Midvalley on Saturday. Had a very delicious lunch at Carl's Jr. And now Amy shall stop obssessing about getting me to eat meat. =)

Okay, both of us better stop staring at the computer screen and head back to my apartment so Amy can devour her dictionary. * laughs evilly* By the way, I've become really attached to certain people and certain things over here. Deprive me of Amy for a day and I'll be super emo. Am currently listing down who and what I've become really attached to. List coming up soon. =) Can't wait to get back to Kuching. Bye for now, fellow normal homo sapians.

P/s Noah are you ever gonna get here???? =) I'm waiting, don't forget the tissues! =)

P/p/s Yik chen, see you tomorrow. Ah, eye candy. HAHAHAHAHA

I love Home

Lets continue from where I was cut off. =) After settling everything on Thursday, we finally had time to do some of our shopping. Shopping for groceries and necessities. Ah, we sound so mature and housewifish, no? *pats self on back*. After doing so, Amy and her roomie came over to my apartment to hang out since its pretty empty. My other two housemates live really near (one at Kajang, the other around Klang area) hence its really convenient for them to get back during the weekends. Oh, I'm getting so green-eyed. =S I so wanna go home too! Give me ten billion zillion million gazzilion wishes and I'll use them all to wish myself home. =( This is the sound of desperation.

While we four were chatting in my apartment (while feasting on the chocs Siang and Jong gave, Ah guys thanks a million times, the chocs are heavenly =D) , I managed to ejek Amy happily. =) Ah, I should not reveal what was said as Amy swears to get back at me when we get back to Kuching. Oh, the atrocity! Attention Lucia, Amy is so so healthy! She's been jogging/walking in morning! =D Hicks, be prepared for a glowing, rosy cheek Amy to return! =P

By the way, Amy and I have sworn never to enter Baker's Cottage again. We were paying for the loaf of bread we bought when this humongous filthy rat jumped out of the counter and ran away. >.< Fret not fellow Kuchingites as there's yet to be a Bakers Cottage in Kuching. And did you know that Shah Alam has ten billion zillion times more cats than Kuching does? And there's still a humongous rat, ah, the irony.

Anyway, went shoppping with Amy again yesterday to stock up on food. Hohoho, you should see what we bought for dinner. Our housemates were stunned and amazed when they saw it. Hahaha, I'm so not gonna mention what we ate that night. When I get back to Kuching then I'll tell you. =) Amy and I had a nice quiet evening eating our self-made, very colourful meal while watching House. Even watching House can get me quite emo-ish, sniff reminds me of the time I sat comfortably in front of my computer in my cosy, warm house. =( Ahhhhhhhh, I miss home.

I tell you, Flo is the cutest girl ever. Ever! The only friend that I can expect to call me all the way from Kuching just to ask me a Maths question. Pandai, pandai betul. =P That's why I love ya girl. =) And, was so touched to have Melissa sms me all the way from Kuching to update me on L6s2 and Form6 . =') Kershia, I know you are coming over soon! Better get you arse over here fast! =) Besides, I was able to chat with Pin Wei and David online yesterday at the hidden cyber cafe. Eeks, best remedy to my emo-ish self. Played with the webcam with David lagi by showing him pictures. That was lotsa fun! Miss ya alllllllllllll! Anyone got webcam, tell me! I wanna wanna play with you!!!!

Okay, I'll end my post here. Noah, Amy and I are still waiting for you to get over here! =P Am still veryyyyyyyyyy homesick and still wanna go home veryyyyyyyyyy much. =D

P/s Am trying to cultivate the habit of wearing long sleeves and pants everytime I step out of my apartment. Constantly reminding myself to change to long pants and wear a jacket everytime I go out. Can't wait to go home where I can wear shorts and a t-shirt freely, anytime I want. Wait for me Kuching! *sings*

p/p/s Did I mentioned that my aparment is on the 4th floor?!! I LOVE stairs *constipated face*

P/p/p/s I miss my family. I miss my dogs. I miss my home. I miss Tina. I miss Flo. I miss Sarah. I miss Amy (yala, live nearby I also dah miss). I miss Siew. I miss David. I miss Noah. I miss PinWei. I miss Lik. I miss Siang. I miss Jong. I miss Lenoard. Eeks, If I keep going on I must as well create a new post on whom I miss. I miss practically everyone. =( Even the filthy fat rat that constantly intrudes my privacy by sneaking into my room from the roof. Yes, that dead rat.I miss you too.

Homesick

The exhilaration! My fingers feels like they are in heaven! Gosh, it seems like I haven't touched, felt, seen, smelt a computer in yearss, years baby! After countless days of being sleep and entertainment deprived, we, namely Amy, Yin Shin, Sui Ying and I have finally escaped the clutches of out INTEC seniors and managed to find a comfy, cheap cyber cafe tucked into a secluded spot and disguised as a real trashy place due to its stinky gloomy stairs. Ah, our abilities.

This week has been REALLY looong for me. It feels far longer than a week to me, feels like a couple of months. =S Or, to shorten it, its been hell week for me. Being sleep-deprived till I am too tired to get emo-ish and then having sudden gushes of homesickness is so not my idea of fun. During our orientation we HAD to get up at around 5 a.m. to get ourselves ready at 6.15 a.m. for the bus. 6.15 a.m. my foot. =P Then we were stuck at INTEC till 11p.m., sometimes even later depending on how fast you are able to stomp pass everyone and push your way up the bus. =) Kidding, we are VERY well-mannered. Once we get home, there's laundry to do, baths to take (which most of my apartment mates often skip due to being sleep-deprived for too long) and other stuff to get sorted out. So, yea bedtime the pass few days has been no earlier than 12 midnight. By the end of the 3 days orientation programme. we were all dead tired and most of us were falling asleep standing up. Haha, imagine that. =)

On Thursday, we had a placement test. AND I was so lucky to have my exam in a fully air-conditioned hall. Lucky what. Most of us were half-frozen by the time we managed to get out of the room. So much for air-cons. For your information I was wearing a very thick jacket some more. See, see so cold eh?? Owh shucks, talking about Thursday, I got super emo-ish. Blame blame the lack of sleep that make me oblivious to the fact that I'm stranded over here at Shah Alam for gosh-I-dunno-how-long-please-don't-tell-me. =( The sight of an add maths book actually trigger my emotions. Made me think of my mum and the fun times I had doing add maths at home. Yes, I actually enjoyed that last time. =( Arh, thank God for Amy as my stick-by-me forever friend. Thanks so much for comforting me when I cried. Gosh, yes I cried. =S Anyway, I've got some unconfirmed news that cheered me up lots. Hope that news is true enough. =)

Awh, my time is up @ cyber now. Gotta go. Will update asap love ya guys
