Stunned, Shocked, Surprised =)

It all began when my roommate came back from class looking rather down. Noticing her moodiness I attempted to ask her what was wrong but she merely shrugged and said nothing. I tried to cheer her up but failed miserably. Puzzled, I sms-ed her classmates to dig out what was bothering her, nevertheless, they were all as confused as I was. They all said the same thing ,she was perfectly bubbly and joyful in the morning but in the afternoon her mood took a 180 degrees turn and she just wasn't talking to anyone. Worried as I was, I decided to leave it as it is, hoping that she'll brighten up eventually.

Due to the unpredictable weather, I decided to message Qi Ying so that we could exercise in the study room together. Qi Ying agreed but said that she'll have to return back earlier as she planned to cook before J-Cyn left for her prayer meeting. After the exercise, I wanted to go to the Ramadhan bazaar as this was the last time I will be able to go for it this year. Despite the fact that Qi Ying was in a hurry, she insisted in tagging along. Going to the bazaar at 7 pm ++ was really fun because stall vendors were handing out free food - kuihs, paus, and the like- and I was even given a huge pack of warm soya. =) Surprisingly, Qi Ying forbid me to eat too much of the food I was given, simply saying that she wants me to save some tummy space for our midvalley outing the next day. Naive as I was, I handed over some of the kuih to her for safe-keeping. =P

Zaharah was the only one in our unit when I returned to the room. She then prompt me about YS's mood and stated that she saw that my roomie was close to tears when she left the room for dinner. After chatting with Zaharah for a couple of minutes, she suddenly started scolding me and chasing me to take my bath. Assuming that she was in one of her playful moods again, I decided to do as she ordered. Just as I stepped out of the bathroom, my phone rang. Qi Ying called me in a state of frenzy saying that my roomie got into a terrible argument with her friend and was now crying uncontrollably at the canteen. She frantically ask me to come help console her. Just as I was about to leave the room, my neighbour came up informing me about the same thing saying that she saw YS break down and there was nothing that anyone could do to console her.

Concerned, I hurried over to Cemara canteen. Upon arriving there, I saw my roomie with Ker Yin sitting together with their backs facing towards me. Anxiously, I rushed up to her, never bothering to look around me, and sat next to her while putting my arm around her in an attempt to comfort her. Surprisingly, she turn around and smiled at me, saying to me that she was just fine. Simultaneously, a pudding/cake materialized out of nowhere and a whole bunch of people started to surround me singing a birthday song. I was so surprised that I didn't even turn to look at the birthday cake, and just continued staring at my roommate in shock. Only after a while did reality kick in and I realized how gullible I had been. >.< ' And yes, they were throwing me a surprise birthday party. =)

ALM has really really good potential actresses/actors and I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends. =) Thanks guys for the creatively planned surprise party and thanks so so much for all the effort put in to actually trick me. =) Thanks so so so much everyone. Words can't express how grateful I am to have you all as friends. =) Lotsa thanks to Qi Ying for specially making the healthy fruit pudding/cake. =) And I had a great time at Midvalley the next day. Reached hostel at a record time of 12 midnight. =) ah bliss. =)

Permai Trip I love

Woohoo... went kayaking for the first time. Ever. Ever. Am elated. Excited. Proud of myself. 

Day started off with Florence asking whether she'll have the chance to see a jellyfish up close and personal. This girl is really one of a kind. For most people, jellyfish=deadly=stay away . Her interpretation is jellyfish=interesting=let's examine. >.<' Our theme song for the day was "Move It, Move It", don't ask me why, that song just pop out of nowhere.

Flo became my kayaking partner. Tina opt to stay on the beach where its safer and where you have no chance of your boat capsizing and causing you to drown (kidding 'bout the drowning part). Flo utilized the precious moments we had alone on our kayak by educating me about starfishes and jellyfishes which are her current obsession ( CJK better watch out. =) starfishes and jellyfishes shall be your worst enemy. =P). Had a blur memory of her saying something about starfishes being dangerous because they can attach to you and secrete some enzymes (blah) which dissolves your tissue??? Sorry Flo dear, I was too busy trying to get our boat on course. Somehow magically our kayak keep seeming to deviate from our planned course and headed towards jellyfishes. I think it has something to do with Flo who kept yelling "jellyfishes, come to mama" =.=' We were the last to arrive at the meeting point and my bro's friend had the nerve to announce solemnly ala amazing race style " I'm sorry to say you're the last team to arrive...."

On the way back one kayak actually capsized. Somehow. Despite my bro saying that the chances of capsizing= chances of getting into an accident on the road on the way back. But all was fine. =) 

We attempted to play frisbee for a while but gave up eventually cos the weather was scorchingly hot. The sand was practically burning our feet. Flo was excited to find a dead jellyfish drifting in a stream and started prodding it with a stick. Somehow, we eventually got around to dissecting the jellyfish using a piece of broken plastic and used the frisbee as a plate to hold the jellyfish pieces. =P

We played saboteur again! Full version!! =) 10 players =) Amy, if you're reading this, Tina is still so adorably blur! haha, she kena influenced by Flo and helped the wrong team. =P Somebody, anybody wanna play? :) 

All in all, it was a great day. Got to meet some of me juniors I haven't met for ages. Angelina, Shu Yi, Val, baby Char, claudia, Agnes..... =) me misses you all lots.. =) 

Second Sem Conquered

And before you know it, another semester is gone. It always amazes me how fast time passes. I can't believe tat about a year ago I entered INTEC. One year, 12 months, 365 days, 21900 hours, 1314000 minutes, 78840000 seconds of my life just pass by like that. =) Maybe its the fact that I kept looking forward to coming back that the rest of the days seems to drift by, maybe its because my life there is so mundane and routine (or simply you say i have no life there =p),or maybe its because this sem was so packed with assignments, reports, tests etc etc that time seems to fly, anyway I'm just glad to be back A-G-A-I-N ( i know I've repeated this countless times, but when you're stuck in a place called Shah Alam Section 18 all you can dream of is coming back to your home.)

To sum up this semester has been err... Hectic? I can proudly declare I've been a really really good girl this sem. Remember how I used to say how I cannot stand not going out of shah alam for a week? Well, this sem has been different. I can stand weeks and weeks just being cooped up in my hostel..err studying...>.< (longest record being 7 weeks =.='). I seriously do not recommend anyone to try this out. The after effects are not too good, kinda like got addicted to studying, and that's not a good thing. =p Currently recuperating by catching up on gossip girl, eh wei how can nate and vanessa break up.. digressing there a moment. =P Sorry.

Even after staying at Shah Alam for almost a year, I can say I've yet to fall in love with the place. There's still many things I complain about. The rules, the *groan* dress code, the administration, the lifestyle and lots of other stuff. But I've learn to appreciate the little things in life that happen just when you need it to. Even though the place might and will always feel alien to me, the people that I've realized that there  will always be someone  there to pull me through the tough times. Throughout this whole year here I've really feel blessed to have a whole bunch of superb friends back in Kuching, and meeting a whole new group of friends in INTEC. When I'm feeling really lonely there will always be my gang back in Kuching who will sms me cheering me up. When worry overcomes me, there's Amy.  When homesickness causes me to tear, there's always my ever-cheerful roomie there for me. When frustration and stress kicks in hard, there's always my jogging hours where I meet up with my so called "jie" to vent out my anger and frustrations. Then there's my classmates that are able to somehow sense my unhappiness and offer words of encouragement, and there are also those friends who can be so spontaneous and adorable sometimes its hard to even feel down around them. In short, the friends here and back home are wonderful. Just wonderful. =D

The flight back home to Kuching was nice. Mainly with me blabbering aimlessly. =) Anyways got some pretty cool tunes to listen to throughout hols. And I really should learn how to take a self-shot using my camera. =D

Sorry

Let me explain myself. I know this blog has practically been left for dead. Blame where I'm stuck at don't blame the author. =) The computer lab at my hostel seriously can piss me off. The sign hanging on the door of the lab states clearly that the lab opens from 12 noon till 10 pm on weekends and when I go to the lab at 12 noon the door is locked. Jeez~ another time I enter the lab at 3pm the guy in charge nonchalantly tells me that he has some other important stuff to do and has to leave immediately and " sorry I've to freaking close the lab now." So much for a computer lab. >..<

Nah, this is meiosis done by my group. =) Makes us feel like kindergarten kids again. "Teacher I wanna play with plasticineeeeee......."Showing off my culinary skills by preparing fried noodles for the steamboat organized by Qi Ying. They all loved my noodles! =D =D

Another of my attempt at cooking without burning the hostel down. =P

And guess what, I donated blood. First time ever, and am proud of it. Even though I was poke twice, one on each arm (nurse said my blood vessels too small, very hard to find. Poke one arm. tak jadi, pull out enormous needle, poke other arm) and had this horrible bruise on one arm for about 3 weeks, it was totally worth it. Lol, practically look like a drug addict, the bruise I mean, not me. =D

A week after that, I joined a charity run. Ah, I sound O so benevolent and charitable and O so angelic * inserts picture of a cherub*. Kidding. Am still as devilishly evil as ever. Kidding. When was I ever devilish. Yup,yup picture below is me and Qi Ying after the run. She was the one that got me to join in. And I've just realized how spontaneous I can be. Waking up at 6.45 on the day of the run and making up my mind only then to take part in it. 

And not forgetting the spontaneous adventure I took the day before I went back. Running to the KTM station, hopping on a train to Subang and walking back from the KTM station to my hostel. My housemate seriously think I went nuts. KTM station not that far what >.<. Anyway guys, never ever try this at home. I mean at Shah Alam. Or anywhere that has a KTM station.

Finally

Finally, after 12 weeks/3 months/ 84 days I'm back home. =) Have been too engrossed in my Brisingr book till I've neglected my already neglected blog ( that sounded weird ) =P. Well, since there is a significant lack of photos in my blog I'll let the pictures do the talking. And there's a LOT of pictures to do the talking. =) Hmm Hmmmm where shall I start.....

#1 : JWW Marriot Hotel. Where Sarawak Chinese JPA scholarship holders were treated to a dinner. Super nice high class hotel that I can only stay in my dreams. =P
